Fees and Payments
Every effort is being made to keep the cost of dental care down. You can help by paying for the examination and the records at the time these services are performed. At the consultation appointment, you will be advised of the total fee for treatment. A payment schedule will be arranged to suit your needs. Our payment schedule will be arranged with you and not your insurance provider.
Insurance
If your dental insurance coverage has orthodontic benefits, your claim form will be completed by the office and submitted to your insurance carrier. Insurance benefits will be paid directly to you by your insurance carrier in most cases. You are responsible for the payment of our fee.
Your benefits have been set forth by your insurance plan and employer with this information being available in your dental benefits booklet. Orthodontic benefits are usually limited to a specific sum for each patient. This sum is ordinarily paid over the period of treatment because the insurance company pays for work completed. Rather than wait for the completion of treatment, most companies pay their benefits monthly or quarterly as treatment progresses. When the sum provided by your plan has been paid, insurance payments cease. Because continuation of coverage is dependent upon uninterrupted premiums and/or continued employment, we ask that benefits be paid directly to you, the insured. In turn, we ask you to arrange a payment schedule at the beginning of treatment. |
